When I finished high school in 2007, I went straight into financial planning and accounting. I did this for 11 years and had my first child Charlie in 2019. When Charlie was just 6.5 months old in April 2020, I felt like there was an opportunity to sell my favourite baby brands online. I decided to launch an online business called "Charlie's Bibs " starting by selling BIBS Dummies and Mushie products exclusively on Instagram.

It didn’t take long to realise that I needed a website to streamline everything. From home, while navigating the challenges of Charlie’s first year, I worked whenever possible - day and night - to build a website, despite having little experience with e-commerce. We expanded our range to include popular Australian baby brands like Snuggle Hunny Kids and ergoPouch, and it wasn't long before our house turned into a makeshift warehouse with every spare cupboard and space filled with stock. My husband Janan who runs his own bricklaying business full-time with a team of four staff would help out where he could when he was home.

In July 2021, we welcomed our second beautiful boy, Noah. We knew we wanted to continue growing the business and felt it was time for a fresh identity —especially now that we had two children. After lots of thought, we decided on the name 'Little Googi,' inspired by the pet names we had given both our boys when they were little. It felt like the perfect fit for our family business.

In October 2022 we discovered we were pregnant with our third and final child. At 36 weeks pregnant in May 2023, I noticed some changes in my body - specifically in my breast. I went to the doctors thinking that it was just pregnancy related and that I already had a mastitis infection. Unfortunately this was not the case.

I was then diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer within 6 days of finding the lumps. The day after diagnosis I was induced to birth our perfect little girl Ivy. She was our beautiful ray of sunshine in such a scary rainstorm. Just 3 days later, I commenced chemotherapy which I then had 16 sessions of over 5.5 months. Surgery then followed not long after. I then completed 5 weeks of radiotherapy and then completed another surgery a couple of months after that. I am now considered 'No evidence of disease' however on multiple medications to ensure that remains the case.

During this time, I had no time for my business. We had three children under 4, a high risk breast cancer diagnosis which required intense treatment for the first 9 months of Ivy's life. Life was hectic!

I am so grateful that I have come out the other side in which I believe is stronger and more motivated. I am slowly building the business up again and hope that I can create a fun space for families to shop.

Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Love Sarah,

Janan, Charlie, Noah & Ivy xxx
